Turrets are utility crafts often used to create rotatable weapon turrets. The Turret has no Rotation Cooldown, allowing crafts that have rotation cooldowns to aim weapons without rotating. A turret can either be a standalone craft (e.g. used for town defences) or a subcraft — a smaller craft that is part of a larger craft. Creative uses of turrets include gates and bridges.
Using both Subcraft Rotate
signs and Remote Tools/Signs, you can control rotate multiple turrets on a craft simultaneously.

After building a smaller part of a craft that you want to rotate, you can identify it as a Turret in order for it to be used.
Place a sign on the Turret and write Subcraft Rotate
on the first line, and Turret
on the second line. This will allow the Turret to be controlled/rotated while piloting the larger craft that it was built on.
Make sure that the Turret's blocks are different from the blocks it is touching on the larger craft—provided that they are made out of allowed blocks on the larger craft (for example, Polished Andesite, Polished Granite, Polished Diorite, or Chiseled Polished Blackstone are widely allowed on other craft). Alternatively, you can separate the Turret from the larger craft with a layer or wall of unique blocks allowed on the larger craft.
Piloting a Turret increases your render distance to 10 chunks maximum, until you release the craft.
