The East Indiaman is a transport ship. Its armament is limited to the Small Cannon.
East Indiaman ships are reliable for trade and boast a 20 to 50 chest cargo capacity. Like other transport crafts, East Indiamen can quickly load and unload items using the cargo commands.
While any wooden vessel is fragile and vulnerable, its direction from other players is hidden on /craftlist
; they can only see its distance.
The East Indiaman uses the Naval Direct Control mode. Direct Control mode (/dc
) is superior to manual movement during combat.
This means it will always cruise in the direction of its "front". If you try to cruise sideways, the craft will move diagonally in that direction instead.
The "front" of an East Indiaman is determined in two ways.
