The Fighter is a combat aircraft. Its armament is the Fighter Gun. Like bombers, fighters can only operate near an Aircraft Carrier or Zeppelin, and must fly above y-level 62.
Fast and agile, fighters excel in recon and shooting down bombers. They can also provide close air support by strafing ground vehicles, naval vessels and concentrations of enemy infantry. Fighters cannot fly over unfriendly claimed land.
When a fighter sinks within 2,000 blocks of a friendly aircraft carrier, their pilot will be teleported to their Crew sign on that carrier if they created one. This allows fighter pilots to quickly re-enter combat after being shot down.
Fighters can form a squadron, allowing Aircraft Carrier pilots to control multiple planes at once.
Direct Control Mode provides superior maneuverability to manual movement while flying.
