Diplomatic points (DPs) are used by nations to perform and maintain various diplomatic actions and relationships, such as keeping alliances and starting sieges.
The breakdown of any nation's DPs can be viewed using the command /n diplomaticpoints <nation>
.
Every nation has a base value of 70 DPs.
Each assault region a nation controls will increase their DPs by +10.
Every assault theatre a nation controls will increase their DPs by +20.
Nations will unlock extra DPs for every 100 residents they have, until 400 residents.

DPs are required to:
DPs don't “disappear” after being used. They are merely allocated towards one of the above actions. Ending that action (e.g. ending an alliance) frees up the DPs so they can be used elsewhere.

The Diplomatic Stance of a nation represents its attitude to foreign affairs. Besides providing various advantages and disadvantages, it determines how diplomatic points affect the nation.
The Diplomatic Stance can be changed by leaders, co-leaders and diplomats using /n set diplomaticstance
. Changing stance takes 7 days to complete and there is a cooldown of 30 days between each change.
This is the default Diplomatic Stance. It has no special effects.
