PvP combat in Nations is manifold and versatile, with Guns, Cannons, Ships, and enhanced vanilla combat being a part of the game. Below, changes to PvP for Nations are described.
Guns are ranged weapons used in PvP. They require ammunition (ammo) in order to be used, and have varying stats and characteristics. See the Guns page for more information.
Use /guns
to view recipes and craft guns, and /ammo
to craft ammunition for them.
Players can get Invisibility and hide their map location while they hold certain items.
To activate Tactical Invisibility:
Tactical Invisibility is not activated when the player is piloting a Movecraft craft, except for the Submarine, Tank, and APC.
Certain mcMMO abilities are disabled for PvP only. They may still work on mobs.
List of disabled abilities for PvP:
Combat while riding a horse has been revamped.
You will receive a minimum damage boost of 15% while on horseback.
Additional damage depends on the speed at which your horse is moving.
The total damage increase while on horseback is calculated with the following formula:
Damage increase = (0.2 + ((Horse's speed in blocks per second÷20)÷5)) × 100% |
For example, you will deal 32% more damage while riding a horse that is travelling at 12 blocks per second.
Tip: Client modifications such as Horse Stats Vanilla (Fabric) or Horse Statistics (Forge) can display the blocks per second speed of your horse.
Custom crafting recipes for Horse Armor exist.
Furthermore, Horse Armor is more effective against all damage:
Armor Type | Damage Reduction | Notes |
Reinforced | 80% |
|
Diamond | 70% |
|
Gold | 60% | |
Iron | 50% |
Horses can be neutered to prevent them from breeding. To neuter a horse, sneak and right-click it with shears. You can only neuter horses which you personally tamed, and the process is irreversible.
Ancient Debris cannot be smelted to obtain Netherite. Instead, the Rune system grants you access to Netherite Ingots.
Netherite gear is crafted at the Crafting Table, in their normal recipe pattern.
Netherite armor is the same as Diamond in everything except durability.
The Netherite Sword, Pickaxe, Shovel, Hoe are unchanged and function normally like in vanilla. Netherite Axes are the same as Diamond in everything except durability.
The Smithing Table can be used to change Enchanted and/or Rune-Enchanted Diamond armor into Netherite armor (Enchanted Diamond armor + Netherite armor = Enchanted Netherite armor).
Ender Pearls are enabled, but they have a couple limitations:
Golden Apples are also disabled.
Players are granted invulnerability from player-inflicted damage for 10 seconds after respawning. This effect prematurely ends if combat with other players is initiated, or if teleporting to another player.
