The Submarine is a naval craft able to operate underwater.
Submarines are versatile craft that are best utilized when submerged deep underwater. Submarines can launch torpedoes while submerged, are hidden from /craftlist
unless they are detected on a craft's contacts, and their pilots are made invisible while under y level 54. These qualities make them perfect for stealthy operations in open waters, although they are fragile once detected and targeted correctly. Submarines cannot surface above y level 66.
Submarine operators should be extremely careful around Destroyers, the dedicated anti-Submarine ship class. Destroyers (as well as Bombers) can deploy numerous Depth Charges in order to damage Submarines within a large radius.
Submarines can also have Periscopes. When a submarine operator is inside a periscope, they gain the Water Breathing and Night Vision effects, making it significantly easier to see through water – all without having to leave the inside of the Submarine.
Main article: Direct Control - Submarine
