Destroyers are medium-sized warships primarily used for anti-submarine warfare. Their depth charges allow them to destroy nearby submarines, and they can activate countermeasures to disarm and sink incoming torpedoes. Destroyers can also fire torpedoes themselves.
More information: Direct Control - Naval Mode
Destroyers will always cruise in the direction of their "front". If you try to cruise sideways, your Destroyer will move diagonally in that direction instead.
The "front" of the Destroyer is determined in two ways.
Destroyers use the Naval Direct Control mode. Direct Control mode is superior to manual movement during combat.
